Network Locked

I bought a network locked handset and made research on how to unlock it, was pleased that cell c allows for one to have their handsets unlocked. So I contacted them via email and got a reply to load 150 airtime without any further instructions so I contacted the call centre and was told to purchase the airtime first than contact em again. Did buy the airtime, contacted em, they took all the details needed by them and was told to wait 24-48 hours for an sms.

4 days later no sms arrives, contacted them again, suddenly I was told that I still do not understand today but all the consultants that I had spoke to gave me false info and mislead me to believe that my handset could be unlocked

I feel ****med cause I'm stuck with airtime that I did not need.
