My sim card was deactivated without notice

I have a simcard I have had it for nearly a year and a half. Then one day I discover its not connecting and emergency calls only. so I go to enquire and am told its been deactivated and not able to retrieve it. This is in the Cell C store.

I then email Cell C who call back and start the process of Retrieving the number. And am told I need a rica'd simcard.

Another lady the next day calls me and tells me I need to answer security questions like when was it last recharged, I dont know off hand when it was last recharged.... You have proof that the sim card is rica'd in my name with all my details. what more do you need?

She then put the phone down. I have tried several times to get hold of someone to retrieve my number and no one can help me. In this day and age with technology You would think this be an easy process but its like this industry has not got the processes in place to look after the customer.

The simcard is in the phone connected to the network everyday, you tell me that you cannot see that its on your network and thus make the client aware you are going to deactivate it???
