My debt details given to a debt collector and the handover wasn't recognized

<p>So aparently on December I was called by SSDA , telling that my account was handed over to them and they gave me instructions on how to pay. I payed on February, according to SSDA they received the amount on the 6th Of February. </p> <p> </p> <p>When I call Cell C they tell me the account was never handed over to anyone, so it is my duty to verify the debt collecter before I pay. Firstly it's only me and Cell C who knows the details of this account,how would anyone know about the details of the account, even the account number I have with Cell C when I havent given that to SSDA (Duh!)? Now I have to go to the bank and ask for proof of payment, MY TIME! I want to find out who went against the policy of the company to give away my personal information, since Cell C says according to their processes I havent been handed over. I want to know who handed it over and who received the confirmation of payment and why It wasnt in the system, ever. Most importantly I want my money! Soon, I'll have to see the ombudsman.</p>
