My cell upgraded without my consent

My contract expired end of July. I phoned and said I do not want to upgrade I want a month to month sim only. Every month they take off the previous contract amount, which was not what I requested. You phone and every time you speak to someone else I want this mistake to be rectified and I want my money back. You do not get througj to their no: 084143 Please help me
