Month's Noticed for Cancellation of Expired Contract

I upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro Max on the 27th of September 2019 - online.

Still no stock for delivery.

My 24 month contract came to an end last month.

I would like to port my number to MTN due to the fact that I have been waiting 2 months for my device's delivery.

Now I have have to give a month's notice to cancel the contract that expired last month?
