Monstrosity in our nabourhood

Without any notice to the surrounding community, Cell C erected a cellphone tower in the middle of the Pentagonpark neighborhood on Saturday 10 March. The tower is negatively impacting the views from the hillside community, and is an eye sore. The biggest concern is that these big companies seemingly can do as they please and simply erect extremely ugly monstrosities without the community's involvement. This act is extremely disappointing from such a well-known organisation.

Maropeng Please could you indicate the public participation process that was followed before the tower was erected in our neighborhood? Apart from being a health hazard to the surrounding neighborhood, it is erected alongside a green area, and negatively impacts on all residents' views from the surrounding hillsides. I need to understand how you ensured that the community was approached, before just erecting the tower.

As per the feedback that was provided by Maropeng on the 14th of March, he advised that he could not get hold of you on your contact number and requested for an alternative contact number. He further advised that he did not get your reply and did not reach you on your number on the 20th of March.
