Marketing Opt-Out Does Not Work

After receiving multiple annoying marketing and promotional SMSs and MMSs from Cell C, I was pleased to see that they added an Opt-Out option on their messages. I duly used the *147*385# facility to opt out of everything. Annoyingly, you must opt-out separately for each and every method. Wonder how much that costs me? Not 5 minutes later, I started receiving the marketing messages again, so I went onto the website and opted-out there as well. I saw a message that I've already opted out. Clearly I haven't, since I'm still receiving the messages! Please Cell C, you are not abiding by the rules of POPIA!
