LTE A coverage poor speeds

I have recently taken out a CellC LTE-A contract, but have very poor speeds.

Before deciding on CellC I enquired the coverage of the area as well as where the tower is located. According to CellC's covergae map, my area is supported by LTE, FIXED LTE and LTE A. My avarage downlaod speed is between 5 - 10 Mbps, upload of 5 - 11 Mbps, but very unstable.

With the same coverage for MTN in the area, on MTN I get 40-60 Mbps download and 20-25 Mbps upload.

With Vodacom on LTE coverage dowloads of 20Mbps.

I have reported this to the CellC support department, but with no resolve. I received one call back and was informed that this is most likely a temporary issue and that I should test again. If still the same I must phone back, which I did, but no further communication from CellC's side.

I am now at the point of cancelling the contract.

Good Day

I was contacted today by the CellC network depart. A technician tested the LTE-A coverage speed in my area at 9-10 Mbps. In peak times the speed drops to 4-5 Mbps. I feel this is not an acceptable speed if it is advertised as Fixed LTE. I reported this within the first week of my contract.

The speeds can not be improved, so I asked that in the light of this that my contract be cancelled.

I was now informed that I need to pay R 2000 for the cancellation.

This is not acceptable.
