AAllegal repair of my iphone

my iPhone had water damage, i took it to jabulani mall cell c to enquire if it can be repaired. i spoke to one on the consultants, Phumlani (small) who advised that they can repair it and he charged me R1000. when i went the next day to check on the progress he gave me a run around, i waited and waited only to find that they tried to open my phone forcefully, till it got chipped on the side, and they could not fix it. when i asked him the reason for this, he said he does not know. i went to istore to find out if it can be fixed, they advised me that east gate mall istore will be the first store (during the period of next month) to be granted permission to fix i phones legally, thus what phumlani and cell c jabulani mall did was *******. my phone is still not working, chipped on the side, and chances are they have damaged it further.
