laptop

I have a contract with cellc comes with HP laptop, a WIFI router that comes with 10GB data. We received the laptop on the 28 of January 2025. It is not even 6 months we had this laptop but it is giving us issues. I called CellC on the 14 May. I was told they no longer repair HP laptop. I had to call Platinum Life to lodge a complain. I asked to speak to the supervisor on duty . I was transferred to Pabalo, he said the same thing, that I will have to call Platinum life. My question was , who is Platinum Life? I don't know them ,I don't have a contract with them. He said, they no longer have a contract with Platinum. How is that my problem? Why sell something you don't have control of it? My issue should have been handled by Cellc not me running around for Platinum Life. I have submitted a request to Platinum Life even today no responds from Platinum Life. I am seating with a laptop that is not functioning properly but CellC is debiting my account monthly without fail. Can I be assistance urgently ? I have pending work that needs laptop.

Dear Kgalaletso,

Thank you for reaching out, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you've experienced. We completely understand how upsetting it is to be paying for a device that isn’t working properly, especially when it's essential for your work.

You're right — your concern should have been handled more effectively, and we truly regret that you've been left without clear support. While there may have been third-party involvement in the supply or warranty of the device, your contract is with Cell C, and you should not be left to chase external parties for assistance.

We’re urgently escalating this matter internally to ensure someone from our team takes responsibility and assists you directly.

Again, we’re truly sorry for the poor experience and appreciate your patience while we work to make this right.

Regards
Cell C | DA
