IS CELL C A “SPECIAL BRAND OF USELESS”

On Wed, 30 Jan 2019, a request for help was put out by us to Cell C though Hello Peter.

Basically our request informed Cell C that Cell C: a) still had not sorted out our previous request for help, b) had 2 accounts open in my wife’s name (B Ho) and, c) that something was not right with Cell C’s billing, and could they please look into these issues.

To readers of this complaint, please take note these errors a), b) and c) above were fabricated by Cell C and had nothing to do with us. We just watched the roadshow (and we are still watching…).

Cell C responded to our Hello Peter complaint and promised to look into matters. Apparently Cell C “escalated our issues”. Well it appears that Cell C escalated our request for help to the “Let’s Take More Money from the Customer, the Ha Ha In Your Face Department”. Firstly Cell C helped themselves to an unwarranted R1,740.53 from my wife’s credit card, and then they disconnected us. Fantastic!

So now that we know that the joke is on us, we’d like to point out to Cell C again that: > Cell C was paid in full, 14 Nov 2018, for a service that commenced 3 December 2018. > Our invoice for January 2019 was paid in full by EFT, 30 Jan 2019, before the due date. So to date: > Cell C has been paid in full by us and paid before the due payment dates, > Cell C is sitting with R1,740.53 of improperly collected funds and, > despite this Cell C has seen fit to disconnect us.

Hats off to Cell C you have given ‘bad faith’ a whole new meaning. Your assurance to us to sort our problem out has transpired to what can only be seen as a prompt and greedy action to improperly take money from us that is unwarranted and then cut us off (let me guess, it was the ‘robot’ – someone or something has to take the blame, it might as well be the ‘robot’…). And the original problem still persists…

How Cell C gets this right is beyond us, we are of the view that as a corporate entity this takes a special brand of useless.

“Sorry this happened or for your inconvenience” does not cut it. How are you going to make good by us. You have inconvenienced and frustrated us beyond belief.

Good morning Peter

This is certainly not the level of service we envisage for our brand. The matter is being handled and will be sorted accordingly, hopefully your faith will be restored in Cell C.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.

Regards
Cell C | PN
