Iphone 7 plus not water resistant.
I sent this message to Cell C about 2 weeks ago and then they rep**** saying they will book the phone in for repairs then they charged me R13 000.00 just for repairs, i mean my phone is an Iphone 7 plus product of apple but then i bought it at Cell C not istore and know they charging me for fixing it you guys must communicate with istore cause the supply you guys with phones if your customers have issues with i phones you must communicate with them so i'll just cancel the contract cause i wont pay for something im not using.
I bought an Iphone 7plus at CellC Cresta Mall in April on the 25th, the sales consultant informed me more about the phone being water resistant Please see link for more info on water resistance https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207043
On the 26th of December around 12h00 pm i had an incident with the phone were it fell into a puddle of water, after opening the house door immediately i put the phone in a bag of rice but the home button was stuck. i tried charging it and it immediately switched on and off while the screen was flickering, i left my phone on the charger but it kept on losing power then it eventually switched off.
I then took it to CellC to report about this issue were i was sent from pillar to post, i am not a technical person i was told that my phone was water resistant its not like i went intentionally bathing with it. So i then took it to istore the booked it in, i received a call lady saying that i must pay R16 950 for repairs
I am very disappointed at the level of service i received from CellC month end i get debited as per norm for the last 4 years and have never missed a single payment but could not get help with regards to a device that is supposed to be waterproof meaning it should be able to work if water has splashed on it. Cell C is lying to its customers by selling things that are not true
This is the feedback from Cell C bellow: According to the link you provided, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207043, with the terms and conditions for use of the device, liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
One of our consultants in the escalations team will contact you to assist with this matter.

Then here's my response: Hi the reference link your referring to is broken or incorrect please follow this Link with regards to liquid Damage https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204104 The liquid contact indicator needs to be Red as stipulated on the policy. I am Disappointed as i have not been empathized with this whole time as a customer and have been told what i did wrong without being given a chance to voice out 1. Nothing was done at cellc in terms of Looking at my device nor verifying if i was honest or not but got the door slammed on my face like now 2. My indicator is still white indicating no water or liquid Damage. Please follow this link with photos showing the strip visible from the outside displaying a clear white color https://www.dropbox.com/sh/46ttb9oe95cvcwo/AACnfqi_fPPUWJUgpYvCDMdia?dl=0
