Internet Speeds Reduced to Nothing

I recently opened a Giga20 account after having some impressive internet connection in the Greenstone Area on a prepaid sim. After purchasing the account my download speeds are at 1.57Mbps (upload 0.5Mbps) throughout the day - down from an average of 3.84Mb (upload 1.51Mbps). Is this some clause in the contract that we get shoddy speeds now that we are on contract?<br> <br> - and I say \we"because a friend who stays just down the road has had the contract for 2 months and has also noticed the same thing.
