A 1-star rating seems generous.
Where to start with my beloved Cell-c? I ordered fibre to the home originally with a company called Greencom in Johannesburg. They eventually ceded their contracts over to Cell-c. Great. Unfortunately the price through Cell-c was roughly R200 cheaper per month and they continued to overcharge me the higher amount for over 2 years. When I questioned them about this they promptly changed the contract, but they flat-out refused to consider any reimbur*****t. This was my first issue with Cell-c, and I know of 2 other people who had exactly the same issue with them. I'd love to know how much money they stole from us in aggregate?
My present issue with Cell-c is that they continue to debit my account for fibre after I have already cancelled it. I cancelled it a month in advance and was assured by the support agent that I wouldn't incur any further bills. When I open a support ticket it simply gets closed without any comments or updates.
This is how Cell-c "supports" their customers, through poor service and agent anonymity so nobody can be blamed and customers have to resort to platforms like hello peter.
Unfortunately, Cell-c have terrible reviews on hello peter as well, so it's basically sh*t off a duck's back because it seems to make no difference whether they improve their service or not. For now, I'll continue to incur bank charges for my new monthly routine of "reverse the A-holes incorrect debit order... again".
To any prospective Cell-c client, please run for your life. It's better to forego having an internet connection. Buy yourself exam pads. Embrace that Amish life. It will be better for your mental health in the long-run (clearly).
Best regards,
