Incomptence even after contract

It is sad that I have been out of contract with Cell C for over 2 years but I am still being haunted by the terrible service and incompetence.

I requested my Cell C contract be cancelled in Dec 2020, this was due to the service provider denying my request to upgrade after they offered, then told me my credit check failed, FINE. I then requested cancelation cause I was in contract with Cell C for 4 years and my account was up to date, so I didn't understand the credit check part. OK moving on

The cancelation alone was ONLY resolved when I opted to come to THIS same platform and complain because Cell C CC staff is always ... (don't even have a word for it)

In January 21, my contract was cancelled, a lady called me after a review and assured me I was out of contract and no further debits will be made

Now, 2023, I am recieving calls from some debt collection company and the account is surprisingly open on my ITC, affecting my credit score, WTH

I call Cell C, lady I spoke to tells me the amount is/was outstanding for Sept2020, however it has been written off and she will send me a paid up letter, which I will then need to send to this company that is harrassing me 1. Why do I have to be the one who goes through all that mess when Cell C decided to hand me over 2 years after my contract was canceled. 2. Shouldn't I have been told when requesting cancelation, actually when I was called and told I was due for an upgrade that I was owing, IN WHICH I AM 100% CERTAIN my account was up to date. 3. Contract was canceled Jan21, I am owing Sept20, how is this making sense ?

I DID NOT GET NO PAID UP LETTER TILL THIS DAY

Called again, lady I spoke to has no damn idea, told me I am owing R600+, asked AGAIN, fo what and when, she doesn't know....

I need someone to sort this ASAP, I have NO outstanding accounts with anyone, and am pushing my credit score for something important and Cell C comes to tarnish my name GOD knows for what... I need Cell C to remove my name from their collection list so that damn company will stop harrassing me, those people will call you 7 in the evening.. And I need Cell C removed from my credit report

This is harrasment, truly. I put up with Cell C's incompetence whilst I was a client, now I am NOT. I shouldn't even be devoting my time writting this review for people I have no business with..
