<p>Cell C needs to train their staff properly to do sim swaps. We have spent the last 3 days trying to do a sim swap for a sim card we lost. After calling the 1st agent he said that in 4hrs time we will get a call from the sim swap division to process the swap, alas the following day no one had called. on the second day after calling again we were told that they will activate and send us an sms of the activation. After not receiving the sms we called again and were told that we cant call again the same day as we requested the swap. eventually we resorted to creating a self service pin which we were told if we did that then it will take 2-4 hrs for the sim to be activated. After creating a pin we were supposed to get an sms confirming that it had been done and after not receiving the sms I called cell c again to my surprise now this consultant tells me that it takes 24hrs for the sim swap to happen, when I ask what happened to the 2-4 hrs she then says it now takes 2-4 hrs for them to receive the request on their system and 24hrs for the sim to be activated. Who is actually right in this matter? is it 2-4hrs or 24hrs? somebody with good knowledge needs to get hold of me to explain this situation ASAP. I am paying R999 per month for the service at least give me the right advice.</p>
