Impossible to cancel my cellphone contract with Cell C

Why is it impossible to cancel my contract. EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to make contact with this entity I get excuse after excuse with the most ridiculous reasons for not being able to fulfill my request. My next step will be to visit a CELL C outlet, and if I still cannot cancel, probably the consumer council, as it cannot carry on like this.
