I'm loosing my number because of *********** workers

I'm disappointed by the service at the store in sandton city, I was not assisted at all, the lady there told me my number was not registered then she claimed it was registered to someone else and that I needed to call customer care, who then advised that the store was supposed to call with me there, It seems I will loose my number that I moved from mtn with, and have been using for more than 10years. It's sad to have people who don't want to work.
