Ignoring requests to debit money.

Recently I have had some trouble regarding Cell C's debiting services. I have a contract with two simcards, each linked to the same bank account, each on debit order. The first month, there was some trouble with debiting one of the simcards' fees. As this was the first month of my contract, I assumed that was normal and we sorted it out (after receiving messages that my account was in arrears). I am 21 and I am looking to build a good credit record so that I can buy myself a car, for I do not have anyone who can buy one for me. I value my credit record and try to pay all my bills before I even buy my own groceries, to try and keep as good a credit record as possible. I work in retail, I work long hours (7:30 to 18:00), Monday through Saturday, so I choose to have my account debited wherever possible, because I can only go to town on Sundays.

Last month (the month of July 2017), I, again, had the same problem. I did not see Cell C's funds deducted from my account. Considering that the debit order date is on the 30th (of July 2017), I phoned customer care on 1 August 2017 to enquire as to what the problem may be. They then reassured me that I do not have to worry, and that the money will be debited.

Two days later, I phoned AGAIN, because the money STILL hadn't been debited. The customer care centre assured me that they will definitely debit the money, because one of their orders came back unsuccessful (for some reason unknown to me). I insisted that they debit the money as soon as possible because I don't want to get a bad credit score due to my account falling behind. Only on the 5th did they debit the money; but what I didn't know is that they only debited one sim card's fees, and left the other sim card in arrears. Yesterday (16 August 2017) I called AGAIN to ask them to please debit the money that they didn't take. The agent on the other end told me that he cannot send another debit submission, so I asked him what to do and he said he did not know. I informed him that I will have to go to a Cell C shop on Sunday (20 August) to sort this issue out. He also agreed that this was possibly the only way (besides physically going to withdraw money, then go and do a cheque deposit into Cell C's account at a Nedbank).

Today, (17 August 2017) I received a notification that my line has been blocked due to my account being in arrears, AND I will have to pay R70 for returned debit orders!!! This made me furious as I have asked them more than enough times to take the money that is outstanding (which THEY did not debit, after explicitly telling them to do so). I phoned again and asked them to please TAKE THE MONEY, for I cannot leave and do my banking business in work hours; and I cannot be without a phone until Sunday. The lady on the other end then quaintly rep**** that she will just do a resubmission! How can they do a resubmission NOW, but they could not do one YESTERDAY? If they just did that yesterday, like I asked, my line would not have been blocked, and I would not have to pay R70 in Debit return fees!

They said that they will debit the money on the 18th of August 2017, but I don't know if they will. Seeing that customer care is no help in solving this, Hellopeter is the only place I can think of that will produce some sort of reaction from Cell C. I am very frustrated and I hope someone can help me!
