<p>I recently discovered that Cell C opened a cell phone contract in my name. I am registered with TransUnion and never received notification of a credit check against my identity number. I reported the matter and have not heard from their ***** Division despite assurances that they will be in contact within two business days. How was the contract opened with no credit checks, proof of identity, proof of income, proof of address, verification of employment? How did you comply with FICA?</p>

15 Nov 2016, 09:39Despite repeated e-mails and requests for feedback from Cell C no one has actually contacted me to let me know what is going on with their "internal investigation". I am now going to lodge a formal complaint with the National Credit Regulator.
