I want my number back.

I hadn't used my sim card for about a year now due to personal reasons, found it recently and I inserted it, it worked for about an hour then as I tried to recharge it it just said inactive. Today I go and buy a sim card to attempt to do a sim swap because I can't access my email address and other personal things that are register using that number and I'm told by their service agent that I can't recover my number.. the excuse is inexcusable because all my personal things including whatsapp are registered with that number and should the number be given to someone else that person will be given access to my personal information, what sucks is that whats in my email my life depends on and the fact that I can't get my number back regardless of the fact that I can prove beyond reasonable doubt that its mine is truly uncalled for whatever protocols cell c put in place based on assumptions they made clearly they didn't consider such cases and I'd like yall to review the decision to not allow us to get our numbers back as like in this case my life genuinely depends on me recovering and getting access to that number, imagine I had money transfered via ewallet no guys I want my number back.
