I need my number back
Hi I have been trying to get my number back I had lost my number last Friday and I have been trying to do a sim swap. Please assist because even when I go to a Cell C store after producing all my relevant details they told me that I failed the security questions I really do not know what to do now as I have clients who phone me on that number

As per RICA legislation we can only assist you with a SIM swap if the number is in your name and was being actively used by you. You also need to pass the mandatory security check before we can action the SIM swap for you. There is a lot of ***** when it comes to SIM swaps and that is why we take the necessary steps to protect you as the customer as well as Cell C.

18 Nov 2019, 14:23Hi Cell C I have been using the number for almost 6 years now and I need it back, I have shown all the relevant details but I cannot remember all the relevant details in sequence but the number is definately mine. The security check I always get 4 questions out of 5 which does not mean that the number is not mine. I need assistance in getting my number back. I understand there is ***** but have you thought of the inconvenience you might cause if I lose a number I've had for 6 years? I have been a loyal customer and did not own other sim cards within this period of time, now it seems as if all your sales person are too harsh and cannot help a long term customer, is my loyalty worth something to your network???

You should find an alternative to the security check because it is not working out for people with poor memory, banks have adapted to the fingerprint system which means you dont need memory to recover your lost assets. My number is valuable to me and I need it, please assist
