I have to pay for Cell C's sim card that doesn't work

So I have a premium contract with Cell C, and my wife has a Pinnacle 250. That alone is costing me R1250 a month. Correct me if I'm wrong but I am paying for a working service from Cell C.

Yesterday morning my phone would send whatsapps, until I tried to make my first call. from there on I couldn't make any calls, or use any data until I restart. I can then use data again till I try call someone.

Cell C doesnt want to help my wife which I sent a whatsapp to call Cell C and tell them I cant make any calls or use data. I was on the road and couldn't use my GPS. All Cell C said is they have to speak to me... I COULD NOT MAKE ANY CALLS... NOT EVEN CUSTOMER CARE!! So eventually I get to my wife and call Cell C, and again I have to answer security questions. What does my phone not being able to call have to do with security?

So then they put me through to technical, and after almost 20 minutes still, no answer.

I went to the Cell C store in the Grove Mall. Turns out there is a problem with my Sim Card, and we need to do a Sim Swap. OK GREAT! But I have to pay R115 for it...

Uhm... I have to pay because your sim card that you gave me doesn't work? The manager says that she agrees they should zero it because its not my fault the sim doesn't work. She phones one manager which refuses to zero it. Then she phones some other guy (MR SWART), and for more than 2 hours he doesnt answer his phone.

Again, I pay for a working service. If the sim card is faulty, then my service isn't working. If it was as a result of my neglect then fine, but this is literally just got up and doesn't work!

They claim they have a 2 month guarantee on sim cards... IF THE SIM CARD EVENTUALLY BREAKS, YOU SHOULD BE PROVIDING YOUR CLIENTS WITH NEW SIM CARDS EVERY TIME THEY RENEW THEIR CONTRACTS. That's what we pay for... monthly
