Hidden Fees
I have a TAB (prepaid) that I got with a contact and now the device is network locked. This was 2 year ago. Now they say I have to either register a SIM and load R150 on the sim to unlock the TAB immediately or I need to use a sim card for a year before they can unlock the device. This was also never mentioned when the contract was taken out. I have been a customer with cell c for perhaps 10 or more years. I never complained about the service even when there is a lot of time no network among other things. But this was the last push. I will be looking at other options from now on. I regret upgrading my last contract with this service provider.

11 Apr 2023, 14:50 Kindly note that if there was no sim card inserted in the device within the 24 months of the contract term, then chances are you will be required to load airtime of R150 to get the device unlocked as in order for the device to be unlocked we track using the Cell C number and the IMEI Number of the device.

11 Apr 2023, 20:52Yes. And that is why I will never use Cell C again. This was never disclaimed to me when the contract was taken out. No one explained this to me and now you want me to pay. I was warned by friends and family all the time and always defended cell c. Looks like the joke was on me.
