I have a 5gb + 15gb contract with Cell C and towards the end of September when I was running low on data I went to Cell C at The Glen to find out what is the procedure to top up data. I was told that I have a “closed contract” and that once I have run out of data that is it until the 1st of the following month. Towards the end of October I ran out of data and got a sms saying that my next debit would be R313 instead of the usual R110. I once again went to Cell C at The Glen and this time I was told that my contract has a cap of an extra 200mb of data at R1.00/mb which made up the extra R203 (???). This, once again, shows how Cell C operates – don’t tell your clients the way things operate and nail them when the opportunity arises!! Well, it’s not going to work with me – I have asked the bank to reverse the debit order as I am only prepared to pay the usual R110 and I will definitely set my cap limit at R110, which is what the "consultant told me I should do!
