Hell C - legalised theft

Greetings from the Ether. I come once again to tell you my horror story.

round about middle of 2022 I decided to upgrade my Cell Contract I decided to get a spiffy new Samsung tablet the process was relatively painless and the tablet was dropped off 2 days later time moved on and a few days later I unboxed and fired the device up was very smooth and very prompt I then shut the device down, ejected the sim tray using the tool provided in the box I put my sim card in the tray and tried to reinsert the tray to my horror the tray wouldn't go back in a sim tray is not something you force back in so I left the tray out and decided to seek help from Cell C The Sandon branch guys were USELESS as was the call centre I eventually gave up - and posted my story here on HP about 2 months later I was contacted and arrangements were made to send the device in to be assessed - I took the device to Greenstone where a very nice lady took photos of the device and fired it up to make sure that the device was working a couple of days later I received a called from an assessor who advised me that the cost of repairs was over 3 grand - which is pretty much more that the device is worth - I declined the repairs. I then corresponded with Cell C who after a while got annoyed with me and imp**** that I had damaged the device - I explained that this makes no sense - but my please fell on deaf ears. it has been almost a year since this whole story happened.

So dear reader, if you venture into a Cell C store, make sure you check the device in front of one of their staff so that should you have a problem like I did, you won't be branded a **** and have to use a defective device.
