Harassment and Data Misuse by Cell C Collections - Unacceptable and *******!

I am beyond frustrated with Cell C Collections. I am receiving calls 3 times a day, EVERY DAY, asking for someone who is not me. I have repeatedly told them they have the wrong person and have asked to be removed from their database, but nothing changes. I even spent 30 minutes on the line with Customer Care, who said it’s a Collections issue, yet Collections says they can’t remove me from their database. I’ve spent hours trying to resolve this, with no success.

My details are being used without my consent, and I don't even have a Cell C contract! It appears that a previous employee of mine used my personal number for their account. I have no contact with this individual and have never given my number to Cell C. Yet, they keep calling ME. In one call, a Collections agent even suggested I provide the previous employee's ID number to "unlock the file." This is *******, *********, and against the law! I would never share someone’s ID number.

I have repeatedly asked if calls are recorded, requested to speak to a manager, and asked to be removed from their database. Every time, my requests are ignored.

This harassment and misuse of personal data are unacceptable. If this is how Cell C treats people, I can confidently say I will NEVER consider them for any service. Avoid Cell C at all costs if you value your peace of mind and privacy!
