HANDSET IN FOR REPAIRS FROM 16TH JANUARY, 2022

I sent my phone in for repairs (only a few months old) because I dropped it due to the slippery cover which is really bad news. I sent it in for repairs since I am insured because the volume button was stuck in the closed position. After months of deliberation (they needed the IMEI number which is on the instrument, they wanted a copy of the agreement etc) the phone came back to Blue Route branch and it was not repaired. The quote to fix was more than R10k?? I asked for a detailed report because your excess fee is based on the amount of the claim. I never received anything back. The Blue Route branch sent the phone back to repairs but said they were sending it directly to cell c who would facilitate the repairs and the phone would be returned within 7-14 days. That was 3rd Mar. On 29 Mar, I got a reference and was told to phone in to accept/decline the quote. After 10 calls and getting back to the intro each time, I sent an email. I was answered with "we need a motivation letter why you took so long to claim. We need a copy of page 3 claim form"..yes, after asking for a letter and you have the claim form with you. |Did you change your number, did you have a faulty sim card. Really now, this phone has been in the repair shop for nearly 3 months and I still pay full fees as if I have the handset. I really need to get out of this poor service after 20 years with cell c. My last phone was faulty and when it came back from repairs, it had other peoples whatsapps, sms's etc which means someone used my new phone. You cannot get any assistance from the repair shop, nor does customer service try and resolve this.
