I tried to cancel my Cell C account. I was told I would get a call from cancellations. They never called. So eventually, just before my expected cancellation date, I asked for a retraction because I wasn't happy to pay 2 different providers for internet service. The lady I spoke to said my cancellation had gone through. I told her my situation and she said that she'll cancel my cancellation but will keep it on the books to maintain my ability to cancel on the same expected day if I chose to later. On the 9th, my line dropped. When I called up, the lady I spoke to said my line had been cancelled. She was going to get a manager to call me. Next thing, the first lady at cancellation calls and said that they were busy reinstating me. I told her not to. Another person called, I told them not to reinstate my line. In the meantime, I had a new provider who connected me up in half an hour. A manager called. He said my line was going to be reinstated but would take a week. I told him not to and my initial cancellation must remain. Ive emailed the 1st woman 7 times to no avail, she refuses to get back to me. But I keep getting calls from openserve to find out what's going on. They first called me the following Thursday, a week later, to reinstate my line. If it weren't for Arihost, I would've been down for a week. Then, naturally, Cell C send me a bill. Asking me to pay them for a month that I havent even been with them. They refused to acknowledge my retraction, so how can they now accept my money. Poor poor company to deal with. Avoid like the plague. Rather go to Afrihost. They're amazing.
