Getting quoted for a faulty phone I received when I took out the contract

I regret taking the Samsung A50 on contract, from the very start I had intermittent issues with the OS. It took over a week for Cell C to come and collect the phone for WARRANTY repairs, they did not have a loan phone available either. This morning I received an SMS stating that a quote has been generated for my device. I should not be quoted at all, I am shocked that Cell C would dare to quote me for a faulty phone I received from them. The OS is not faulty due to my doing, I received the phone with a faulty OS. The Repairs department cannot even take my call to advise me for what I am being quoted and how much the amount is they expect me to pay. Needless to say if they insist that I pay, then they can consider me as good as someone that have cancelled their contract, it would not be the 1st contract I will be cancelling.

"It SEEMS like your device is out of warranty", I only got the phone at the end of January or beginning of February, my phone must be under warranty. How can you not say for certain whether my phone is under warranty or not. The amount your are quoting me is absurd, there is no physical damage on the phone when they came and collected the phone, regardless of physical damage, it would not affect the software if that were to be true. You can cancel the quote and send me my phone back, I will have it assessed by a third party and see if they come to the same conclusion.
