Frustrated, can not redeem my lost sim card number, Cell refuses to help.

I bought a Cell C sim card over 2 years ago from Cell marketing crew who had a pitched tent at a shopping centre in Johannesburg. I have been a very loyal customer and was using the sim card for both business and personal calls. I used to recharge between at least R200 up to even R1000 per month. My phone was ****** on the 27th of October 2018. I made several calls to have my sim card suspended so that i could do sim swap. I was told that the sim card was ricared and registered in someone else's name so i had to visit a cell c office for assistance. I did visit a cell c shop in lephalale limpopo and was assisted by one arrogant consultant who from the onset showed me attitude of his unwillingness to assist me. I explained how i got the sim card, and offered that i can prove that i have owned the sim card for the past 2 years or so to which he said he needed to consult with his superiors. He made several calls to which he was instructed to ask me 5 security questions. He went on to barrage me with more than 15 questions some of which were clearly unreasonable, i queried whether he genuinely wanted to assist me or not. At this stage he clearly told me that he did not want to give me sim card because it is not allowed. I did ask why he had to take me through a 2 hours process when he clearly had a predetermined position about my request. At the end i was told i had failed some questions and was not going to be assisted. I requested to have issue escalated but he told me to call the call centre. The call centre can not assist me and the office people can not. My sim card is not blocked and its online. The person who has my phone is having access to my phone calls and messages. Is it my fault that i bought a sim card which was ricared from cell c marketing people? Even if i can prove that i have owned this sim card for the past 2 years why do cell make my life difficult like this?

Good morning Wellington

When visiting the store to have your SIM swap done, you have to bring an affidavit, proof of address and Identity document if the SIM card is not Rica registered under your name.

A security check is mandatory, we will get one of our consultants to assist.

Thank you for the response, i do understand and have never refused to comply. When can i expect the assistance from the consultant as i indicated that my phone has not been blocked and has been in the possession of a stranger since the 27th of October 2018 and surely this posses a serious security threat to me and my contacts.
