<p>I currently have an existing data contract with Cell which is just over a year old. On the 14th September 2016 as I was going through my statement for the period ending August 2016 I was shocked to learn that two EPIC contracts (2x Samsung galaxy S7 edge) worth approximately R1700 on 23 August 2016 were opened in Rosebank Mall in my name. After querying this with the call center I was advised to go to the police station and make an affidavit which was sent to Cell C on 15th of september. Further to this I went through Cell C Rosebank and requested shop assistant who facilitated and concluded the transactions to show me the copy of application forms which were used to open the contracts and was told that they were not available in store as they had been sent to the head office.</p> <p> </p> <p>A few days later(on 18th September) I was asked to send copy of ID, bank statement reflecting the CellC debit order and the Affidavit (again) and these were send on 19th september. Following this I had requested an investigation update on two ocassions and was advised that the investigator will contact me in 24-48hr time frame. Up until the time I opted to write this nobody has contacted me in this regard and now I can't even use my legitimate data contract because of suspension due to non-payment of the two queried ********** EPIC contracts.</p> <p> </p> <p>And for your information I was never in Rosebank on 23rd August and had never been there in ages. Your shop assistant when she was suspending the lines told me that she clearly remembered the person who came to pick up the phones and it it was definately not me.</p>
