Dear cell c, I hope this reaches someone who might help me but in all honesty I have my doubts after a year of dealing with this. I had a contract with u for almost 4 yrs with no issues, even went to renew my contract for a LG phone because Huawei wasn't carried at ur shops at the time. Within a year of that contract my phone LG phone was ******, but I had insurance on it and I went to claim it from u. Here's where it gets tricky because 1. Pollen the sales agent at Kyalami corner where I was getting my service got a phone, a Huawei P20 lite and I left the shop (left my purse & spare phone) to around 11 when I was informed my GM had stopped by. I was busy for the rest of the day and came back just before closing to sign docs and take the phone. 2.That happened end of July 2018 and I thought everything was sorted until end of Aug when I had to pay R799. for 2 contracts when I asked Pollen why was I charged so much. That's when he explained to me that he did a new contract (which I DID NOT ASK FOR NOR CONSENT TO, EVEN INFORMED OF) and I asked him to take it back and he said he will not because I already signed for it, and we argued about the legality of it as I did not ask nor want it as I had a spare phone with me and I could've used it until I had to renew my contract the next year. I left as I was angry and not getting any help from him. His manager was off so I waited till the next week to report this to him. 3. Sebaka Brian was the one who explained to me that *Pollen "was wrong to have taken out a contract without my consent" *Pollen will get a warning for this matter Under the impression that he was helping me I waited for feedback from him and he NEVER, NOT ONCE CAME TO TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT HE WAS DOING TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. I waited until I went to him and he stated that *for me to close my old LG contact I had to pay R1800 for the last remaining months (this is the 1st time hearing about this) *He can take the phone back but he won't because I signed for it and I can't prove the ***** ony part (please note that both admitted verbally to wrongful action) so I am stuck with paying the R799 *I told him that some kind of agreement can be and he said yes he can cancel the contract but someone at the store will have to pay for it and he didn't want that to which I said then I wasn't going to pay for his mistakes. 4. I them logged a complaint with your call center and tried by all means to get this resolved amicably and was told by the area manager that I can take the phone back. Here's the ref no as proof. *Dear Cell C customer, please receive feedback for case no. *** Please note that we attempted to contact you regarding reference number .Kindly send us the copy of ID for ***** to be able to assist please contact our Customer Care Line on 084140 for more information. I took the phone and all it's equipment back and Sebaka REFUSED AT ALL COSTS to take it back and said he won't be responsible for it because it means someone at the store did something wrong and cell c and him have to pay for it, I told him yes someone (Pollen) did something wrong and u are helping him cover it up. 6. This went back and forth and I tried by all means even spoke to the area manager Sipho Mollo who was at times difficult to get a hold of because I can't be on the phone the whole day calling different call centers looking for 1 person who no one had no idea who it was. I even managed to get a hold of his email and he knew the situation and tried his best to help which was of no avail as he couldn't by phone force Sebaka to do his job.
This continued again for a while until I eventually went to the cell c in dainfern to ask for help and was advised that my phone from the insurance was out and I needed to pay it. I asked who logged the 2nd claim and I was told it was Sebaka (who didn't have the decency or inclination to inform me despite me working less than a 100 steps away from him in the same center. I then had to pay an access fee to claim the phone, then that's when the my issue came in. I had to pay for the 2 months in which I rescinded the debit order as I said I was not going to pay for his mistake, and I tried by all means to fix it which no one came to the party from your end. I have been inundated with calls to pay for the 2nd contract which *I refuse to as per previous note that yes it was ********** and both Sebaka and Pollen agreed to but I cannot prove because it's my word against theirs and I know who's side they're on. *I acknowledged payment for the contract I asked for but refused to pay another cent until this matter was resolved which a year later hasn't been so I'll gladly pay the R1800 that was left of my contract because it's the ONLY ONE I acknowledge. I am tired of having to explain the same issue to different people and different departments because your complaints department simply doesn't exist except a call center no and I have done that previously but to no avail. On the anniversary of said problem I have decided to take to social media, hello Peter and every other outlet I can find just so I can have a resolution to this and I can move on. On that note I was always an advocate for cell c services but never again. I'd rather go phoneless and networkless than take another contract with people I cannot trust to have my best interest, as making a sale to Pollen was important to him never seeing that someone (Me) had to pay for it and having managers that are as irresponsible about their work (He didn't give Pollen the warning he claimed he would) and keeping customers happy no matter how friendly we are.
Here's to another year or running after you to help me
This message was sent to you on Twitter over a week ago and the only feedback I've received is you requesting my phone number and ID copy which I've sent. You do not fail to remind me daily to pay or you will consider legal action, yet for some reason you fail to contact me daily to resolve said issue. I'm sure your calls are recorded so I don't need to repeat said issues from beginning to end. NOTICE: If no payment is received on your CELL C acc further legal action may be taken. Call MBD on ***. ***
