********** Cell C accounts in my name
I checked my credit rating and found 2 Cell C accounts that I believe were **********ly opened in my name. I tried to contact their support centre - but you need to enter a Cell C number to talk to them. no idea where to go to sort this out

26 Aug 2020, 12:39I was pleased to receive a call from a Cell C representative, but I am not content with the outcome
Summary:
Cell C want me to do the following before they rectify:
In my view this is being incorrectly handled as a ***** case. It is an administrative an error on the part of Cell C and should be corrected without further ado, they need to reimburse me and delete any information they have of mine.
A simple search has allowed me to identify the real owner of the contracts that I am paying for. But this is for Cell C to resolve with them.
1. Cell C, can you please reconsider your approach to this case.
2. Does anyone on this forum have advise as to a regulatory / legal body that can assist with this?
Thanks
Summary:
- I had contracts with Cell C which were closed, circa 2014 /2015 ( relevant as Cell C clearly retained my banking details )
- Apparently Cell C took over accounts from " Glow Cell " when they liquidated.
- I have never had any dealings with Glow Cell
- In 2018 Cell C, of their own accord, began to bill my old savings account for 2 Glow Cell that they had taken over.
- These contracts are owned by someone else.
Cell C want me to do the following before they rectify:
- go to a police station to submit to cell C an affidavit ( I am currently isolating )
- send a copy of my ID
- send them my bank statements
