After my initial review, I was contacted. The lady basically said that the month-to-month deal was I promised, doesn't actually exist. But because no commitment fee was disclosed or discussed, and therefor not accepted by me, it will be taken off my contract and I can cancel with no commitment fee. (thus basically pay the money or cancel your contract - great sales pitch). Thus I proceeded to cancel both my contracts. And guess what - got a call just now telling me that I have a commitment fee payable. The consultant refuses to listen to the tapes of the previous conversations - both of the ********** fee placed on the account and that of the cancellation she is referring to, where it is explicitly stated that the ********** fee will be removed. The staff of Cell C are incapable of listening, understanding or doing their job. Their adverti*****ts are *****ulant, the sales consultant specifically **** to me, telling me this is a month to month deal, where I can cancel at any time with no fees payable. It is advertised on their website as exactly that. But - actually it is not month-to-month, it is a 24 month contract. Even though you do not get a device, should you wish to cancel, you must pay the full balance of the contract - thus paying for airtime, data etc which you did not receive or used for TWO YEARS.
