Fibre Nightmare

In Oct 2017 Cell C sent salesman in our area directly after Octotel has installed cables. This makes them the obvious choice if they have people doing personal selling. He arrived with forms to cancel our ADSL and advised us that fibre would be live on the 1st of Dec 2017. We told him we will then cancel our ADSL and November would be the last month ADSL is needed.

I have numerous messages trying to get correspondance, and Cell C is just passing the buck to Octotel. Octotel has taken longere than expected, but then Cell C should definitely not make promises with specific dates and send salesman with cancelation forms.

The salesman have been promising me a loan LTE router for quite a while and have promised me every day of this week that he will provide me with a loan router, that I can use my own sim card in, just until fibre is live.

The biggest issue I have is promising me something and then not delivering. Rather don't tell me that you will offer me a router if you are not in a position to do so. I am considering approaching other service providers for my fibre when our area goes live in March.

I have now been without any internet for 3 months because of this and reactivating MWEB and telkom takes almost 30 days.

Shocking from Cell C!!!! Won't deal with them out of principle.
