FAULTY CELL PHONE
I bought a contract cell phone iPhone SE in November 2018 and the power button stoped working couple of weeks back so I took it back for repairs but I was told it cannot be fixed as the warrant falls off due to a cracked screen.like what does a cracked screen got anything to do with a faulty button?I was then given an option of replacing the phone on condition I pay 6000.I feel this is so unfair

When a device is booked in for repairs, it is assessed and based on the findings a decision is taken, whether the device will be replaced, repaired or refunded. You were advised correctly about the warranty. How is this unfair?
