False Adverti*****t ********* Consultants

On the 2nd of Dec 2017 I went to the Cell C branch in Langeberg Mall - Mossel Bay to finalise a contract that I have been gathering information on the past few weeks... The contract was explained to me, by the consultant -in store- as follows: I would receive 100 call minutes, 100 sms's and 1000minutes of free wifi calling for the next 24months. I will also receive 10GB data for the first 6 months of the contract period. Upon my request for the consultant to guide me through the settings to enable wifi calling he had a look at my settings, returned my phone tonme and said "you do not need to change settings, you just dial and ring as you normally would with a regular phone call" As he is a consultant I was satisfied and left content, letting him know that should I experience any problems I would return to the store for assistance. On Dec 20th 2017 I realised that my 100 call minutes has depleted and that I wasnt able to make calls even though I am permanently connected to wifi at my residents. On Jan 2nd 2018 I made contact with Cell C service centre to enquire about the wifi calling that still doesnt seem to work. They couldn't find a problem and referred me to the technical team which then informed me that the wifi calling software for my handset will only, most probably, be available in Feb 2018... My problem is this: Cell C has advertised this handset and this contract to include free wifi calling which was appealing to me and the only reason that I singed this contract (as my husband works abroad and I need to be able to contact neighberhood watch etc. in case of emergencies) AND the consultant in-store had, deceiptfully, explained to me that this handset and this contract has the 1000min free wifi calling for 24months which is the length of the contract I signed. I feel that Cell C has advertised this product/contract package falsely and that their in store consultants are deceiving clients. I now have to buy extra airtime for another sim card just to have a "life line" to contact someone, should my 100 call minutes be depleted. If I had known this was the situation I would not have signed this contract.

Well. The inconvenience is costing me extra money which I did not budget for. If I knew I would have to and if I could afford it and if I wanted to spend an extra amount on emergency airtime and a second mobile, I would never have signed this contract. I had to spend an extra R400 last month and would probably be the same amount this month. All due to you staff's incompetence and the false adverti*****t on your side...

I confirm that a consultant has spoken to me. He has arranged that CellC will pay my contract for Jan 2018 as well as Feb 2018 to compensate for the extra amount I need to pay for a second phone. However, I have no proof of this and would like the reference number to our telephonic conversation as well as an email confirming the abovementioned.
