**** loyalty vouchers
It would seem that any upgrade with Cell C is never easy. Being due for an upgrade, my husband visited your Knysna store on Saturday 11 May top upgrade to the Huawei P30 Lite. The store did not have any stock and advised that they would have stock early this week, latest Wednesday. Not having heard anything I contacted the store yesterday (no easy feat, took several calls for anyone to answer) and was advised that they were still waiting for stock. Yet within 10 minuted they contacted my husband to advise that he can collect the phone. On Saturday 11 May my husband also inquired when my contract is due for an upgrade. While looking on the system he advised my husband that he qualified for a in-store loyalty voucher for having been on your network for so long. He also advised that the voucher on my account had expired (yet I was never informed) and said that he would reinstate it on my account. As I will be using the P30 Lite I went to the store today to inquire whether I need to do a sim swop as I could not get the sim inserted. I took both my old Huawei and the new P30 along. Rather than looking at my sim and advising that I simply need to pop out the smallest chip, I had to do a sim swop, costing R100+. I also asked the assistant to look on my profile if there is anything about a loyalty voucher, which he very reluctantly did and rather annoyed informed me that there is no such thing. The irony is that the original consultant - who made the claim - was standing right next to him. My question to Cell C is: Why allow consultants to dish out **** information regarding loyalty vouchers and why was I never informed that I qualify for the supposed loyalty voucher. Also, could Cell C confirm that y husband (details above) does actually qualify for the said voucher. Once again I am utterly disappointed in the service received from Cell C and will be looking at other operators.
Apologies for the manner in which the matter was dealt with.
We have escalated it to the regional manager responsible for the Knysna store for urgent assistance. Feedback will be provided as soon as possible.
