I fought with Cell C last month regarding recieving an invoice of R600 rand on my account even though i had a spend limit set at R200. I made it very clear during last months complaint that i did not want my account to be able to rise past the R200 spend limit. And yet this month i once again get an invoice for over R600 rand. I am so sick of this. Surely Cell C is not that broke that they have to use these techniques to charge people more than they afford. I cannot afford to pay R600 per month on a phone contract, that was why i took the contract for R129 per month. I even asked the lady who i got the contract from, she said i would not pay more than R129 per month + spend limit. This is absolutely shocking. Cell C have nothing intelligent to say on the matter, so i am just going to contact the consumer complaints commission and social media platforms to warn people about taking a contract and trusting Cell C's useless 'spend limit'.
