Extremely Poor Service from Cell C South Africa

As a loyal Cell C customer for over 5 years, I am absolutely shocked by the level of service or shall I say, lack thereof!

I have not had any resolution to a query dating back to June 2021, whereby I was told by numerous customer care agents including the Supervisor that the debit orders in query, was not from Cell C and that I must resolve the matter with my bank.

Since I had confirmation from Cell C that the debit orders were incorrect and not from them, I then reversed the debit orders only for the same debit to go off again in June, but now double in amount.

I immediately contacted the Cell C customer care department again, to be informed yet again that this debit order does not reflect on their system against my Cell C account number, ID Number or my bank account number. So I then reversed this again!

I then received a call from a collections company appointed by Cell C for the canceled debit orders and have since been charged penalty fees and interest despite Cell C customer care as well as the Supervisor confirming that these debit orders were incorrect and not for my account!

Eventually came to the conclusion with a very helpful customer care agent that Cell C had changed its statement program which resulted in one of my contracts not being debited as normal in one debit and therefore for May and June two separate debit orders were set up - how have the agents and the Supervisor not pick this up?

I was happy to settle the amount for the two debit orders as per the contract, however was already charged penalties which I queried with Cell C, but having the run around back and forth with absolutely NO FEEDBACK!

My account has now been handed over due to nonpayment, but, I don't feel that I should be the one to pay for the penalties and interest for reversing the debit orders (which I already had to carry the bank penalties for the reversal) due to their error! I was TOLD by various agents including the Supervisor that the debit orders in question were not from Cell C and cannot be located on their system!

I have been unsuccessful in resolving this matter with Cell C due to their complete lack of customer service.

Definitely not a happy customer! I will not recommend Cell C to anyone
