Extremely Bad Service

On the 25/26 of April, I received a call from one of Cell C's contact centre agent. She offered me another contract with Cell C as I already have one with them. The second one was for a Samsung J1 and I was informed that I will only pay an amount of R129.00 which will include the phone, an airtime sim card and a data sim card. The agent did not explain to me that the for the sim cards it will be 2 contracts, she just said it is all part of the package.

Then she asked me when do I want my debit order to go off. I explained to her that I get paid month end so it will be best if they combine the debit order for my contracts, which will go off every month either on the 29th/30th depending on when I get paid on that particular month. The agent then loaded the debit order to go off on the 15th of every month without my knowledge. On the 29th of April my debit order went off as usual and to my surpise, on Monday of the 16th May, another debit order of R607.89 went off my account and it stated that it is for Cell C. I took the liberty to call Cell C and find out why a debit order went off my account because it normally goes off month end. The agent I spoke to informed me that when I took out my second contract, my debit date was changed to the 15th, I then explained to her that I do not get paid mid-month, therefore a mid-month debit order would not make financial sense to me and I did not agree for a debit order to go off on the 15th. I then requested that they change my debit date to my initial one of month end.

The 20th of June I receive an SMS from Cell C informing me that I am in arrears of by R739.00 and my services would be suspended due to non-payment within 2 days. I called at around 11h30am and spoke to another consultant who informed me that they tried debiting my account on the 15th and there were insufficient funds in there, hence the arrears. I then informed her that I had asked for the debit date to be changed back which was not done, so why must my name be tarnished because of someone who has not done their job. She informed me that they will change the debit date to the last day of the month.

I then requested recordings of the day I accepted the 2nd contract and the day I called requesting for my debit date to be cahnged. She informed me that only managers have access to that kind of information. I asked to speak to one of the managers then I was informed that they are in a meeting and she will get one of them to call me back as soon as they are done. I waited till 3 in the afternoon, no call from anyone at Cell C whatsoever. I called again and spoke to a different consultant, related my story AGAIN to her and asked to speak to one of the managers, this time, I was told that the manager is busy on the line with another client and she will call me back once done with the call, but still THERE WAS NO CALL FROM CELL C.

I waited the next day until 2pm and still NO CALL from Cell C. I CALLED AGAIN and this time I demanded to speak to one of the manaagers. I stayed on that call for approximately 55 minutes. Finally, I speak to their supervisor/manager. I had to relate the story to her YET AGAIN, and I requested call recordings from her and she informed me that they will be note my query down and I will received feedback WITHIN 48 HOURS and it will be sent via email to me. I was supposed to have received feedback on THURSDAY, 23RD JUNE AT 15H00 LATEST. Today it is the 27TH OF JUNE and STILL NO FEEDBACK FROM CELL C.

I was refraining from having to complain to Hello Peter about the poor quality of their service and how they treat clients. THEIR SERVICE IS APPAULING. I am definitely not a happy client at this moment, I feel as though my queries are taken lightly. I want to find out, who must suffer because of someone who has not done their job???? I am really irritated with the services from this network provider. Please advise as to what it is that I have to do in this regards.
