Extreme bad service and laying agents

During December I was contacted by Cell C customer services to tell me my contract is due for upgrade. He told me they have a special promotion and if I do a telephonic upgrade there is no activation fees. Later that day he phoned to say that the phone my wife wanted was unavailable but he had a better deal. 2 Phones for the price of one. End January I got a shock of my life when low and behold I was billed for a complete new contract and not an upgrade. We tried to have this resolved by contacting customer services. Jade phoned me back and said it was a new contract that he wrote me up on even after I specifically asked for an upgrade and that there is nothing he can do to help. He can only suggest that the old contract ends on 3rd February and we then do a sim swap on the new contract and best is to go in to a store. On 2nd February I went to Heiderand Cell C where Ronaldo canceled the old contract. He gave me his card and said as soon as the number was on pay as you go to phone him to do the sim swap. The 3rd I phoned him 8 times and every time I got voice mail. He has never returned my calls. I phoned customer services for assistance and have yet resolve this issue. Every time I speak to someone at customer service, they transfer me to an alternative extension and there never seems to be resolve to the problem. In the first place the agent obscured the truth. If he was dishonest, I would not have agreed to a new contract for I have 2 contracts already. He spoke to my wife and to me and we both said we want to upgrade. The agent gets rewarded for dishonesty and the customer pays the price. I have been a loyal customer for more than 15 years and cannot in all honesty say that I would refer friends to join Cell C, not after all this incident.

Dear Debbie Viljoen

Thank you for contacting Cell C.

We have received your review regarding your Cell C contracts.

We humbly apologise for the service you have experienced from our team and we will assist with the number change.

To have the prepaid number reactivated on the new contract we will need to do a number change. Please purchase a new Cell C SIM card and RICA register it with your details, we will process this when we contact you.
