E-incompetence
Yesterday I purchased a Cell C starter pack and used their eRICA function to register the sim. After a few hours the sim was still not active and I FB messaged with the reference. The first consultant said the sim was registered - it was not. I messaged again, next consultant said it was not registered. The third consultant said that eRica is not available - yet I completed the process. Could all the Cell C consultants perhaps tell the same lie, please?

The number *** is not RICA registered and is not active in our database. This type of card only works if you are trying to do a SIM swap.
Please use the following link to self-register for RICA: https://explore.cellc.co.za/erica-landing
or visit any store displaying the RICA sign to register the card. Be sure to bring your ID and proof of address.
Once the registration is complete, insert the card into your device, and you will receive an SMS with your new number immediately.
Unfortunately, we do not process Rica register on our side.Again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
