Double debiting

<p>When my December salary was paid into my bank acount on my regular payday instead of the 20th, the debit order that Cell C tried to process was obviously returned. On the 24th I received a SMS from Cell C informing me that my account was now in arrears, and that I needed to make a payment within 2 days to avoid my service being suspended (this in itself being *******, as my account would technically not be in arrears until the 1st of January). I however went and made a cash payment at an easypay outlet, AS RECOMMENDED to me by a call center agent, on the 28th of December. Imagine my surprise when on the 30th of December my account was again debited for the full payment which I had already made! I called Cell C to inform them of this error, and was told that NO payments were reflecting, and that I would have to call back on the 2nd of January. I duly did this today, and was told that a query would now have to be logged with the financial department, and that they would take up to SEVEN working days to look into my query and only then inform me whether they would be reversing my payment or not! I would like to now know, when Cell C EVENTUALLY gets back to me, will they be reimbursing me for the bank charges on the debit order which they incorrectly processed, as well as the other debit orders which were returned due to their incompetence, or are they just going to make some feeble excuse bout their system and once again make the customer foot the bill for their incompetence?</p>
