DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH CELL C

What an absolute ******* cellphone provider.

So my fibre account was originally under GreenCom and then the accounts were absorbed by Cell C. I never had any problems for 3 or 4 years until I had to upgrade my account. When I upgraded my account I had to open a new account, why I do not know, in order for my discount to reflect. Ever since this new account opened I have had so many problems. Firstly when I received my router I had noted that it had been tampered with but the technician said that dew to covid regulations that Cell C has implemented that they configure the routers at their homes and just plug it in on-site. I found that very odd but I did not think to question it until all iPhones in my place was blocking the internet however my laptop was working. I figured that this must be a security setting because iPhone does not just block sites for no reason. I demanded that Cell C bring a new router and after going back and forth they eventually swopped the routers and my internet worked, however I then encountered my second problem where speeds were below threshold and had to wait a week to get that sorted.

Thirdly when Cell C was debiting my bank account my bank flagged the transaction so I would go and pay the account myself so that it wouldn't affect my credit score. I did not understand why this was so I looked into it.

It was then noted that the account number on my statements was not matching the account number on their system so I phoned Cell C and they told me that they would allocate the money into the correct account this was on the 27th October 2021. I decided to update my banking details on that day as I felt that the situation would have been managed. It is now the 25th November 2021 and they debited 3 months payment from my bank account when actually my account is meant to be up-to-date. So I call to find out why they took three months instead of the current month, only to find out the money was relocated but hadn't been done properly.

I am absolutely ****ed and this account has only been open for three-four months. if anyone wants to open an account DO NOT OPEN IT WITH CELL C. Once my 24 month obligation is complete I am leaving!!!
