Dissatisfaction with Cell C's extremely poor service
I have been a Cell C client for more than 10 years and never in the past decade did I ever experience such poor service. Suddenly since May 2021 there was a problem with the debit department. I had to phone Cell C several times since May to debit my account for services rendered from May to August, basically begging them to debit my account. I chose a new date for the debit order to go off on my account, sometimes more than once each month. In August I was basically forced to cancel my debit order, due to Cell C's inability to sort out my debit order and I confirmed that I will continue with eft payments from September as I was worried that their incompetence will have a negative impact on my credit score. Now to September 5th, since the evening of the 5th I had no service on my phone. I have restarted my device and even inserted my sim in other devices. Still no service. I contacted Cell C via Facebook, as this is now my only means of communication. I explained the whole situation via Facebook Messenger and still this issue has not been resolved. Their feedback indicated a turnaround time of 24-48 hours. This is extremely frustrating as I am a mother of two small children and I have to make contact with my children's school should there be an emergency. I can also not contact anyone if I am not connected to a wifi connection due to my service being suspended. How can this possibly take this long to resolve, even if my account is settled and on a R0 balance. Due to problems on Cell C's side I have now been left without any means of communication (except for social media and a wifi connection) and I have done everything on my part to make sure that my account is settled and that my credit score is unaffected. I even had to contact a senior consultant via LinkedIn to assist with the debit order matter. I am left extremely frustrated and disappointed in this service provider. What else should I do, contact the CEO? I have passed the point where I am trying to get Cell C to improve on their service. Now I merely want them to answer two questions: 1. How is it possible that a business of this magnitude is incapable of processing the payment of a willing (begging) client? 2. How can you justify punishing a client for your own inability to perform the most basic of business functions (processing payments)?
