Disqualified to upgrade

The past 3 weeks has been back and forth regarding debit orders which did not get through whereas I had funds. Now I paid via eft on the 29th of August. I passby cell c shop and ask if I can upgrade only to be told that they can't upgrade because of the debit orders issue that happened on r and it has never been my issue,as I also send my bank statements to prove.

Why can't I qualify for upgrade now? I don't expect cell c to do a debit orders this month as I paid already.

Dear Vimbai Huni,

Thank you for engaging with us regarding your upgrade request.

Our records indicate that your account currently reflects an outstanding balance of R695.01 + R70.00. The R70.00 relates to the debit order that was unsuccessful on 01/08/2025. Unfortunately, since this balance remains unsettled, we are unable to proceed with your upgrade at this stage.

Once the outstanding balance has been cleared, we will gladly assist you with the upgrade process.

Kind regards,
Cell C | TM

I do not understand this R70 as you debited the R70 on the 4th of September, why are you so disorganised. deduction R70 was very intentional, so why are we talking about it now.

Dear Vimbai,

Thank you for your response.

We understand your concern regarding the R70 deduction on the 4th of September. Our records indicate that while the R70 payment was received, the debit order for the full amount due in September was unsuccessful. This is why the outstanding balance remains on your account.

We apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused. Please be assured that our team is committed to resolving this matter, and as mentioned, a follow-up call will be made on Thursday to discuss your account in detail.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Regards,
Cell C | ZM
