I entered into a Cell C Pinnacle 150, 24 month contract in May 2017. I was quite excited at the prospect of owning a Samsung Galaxy J5, as well as saving money with this particular deal (R 199-00 per month), as I was on prepaid prior to this and was spending about R 500-00 per month on airtime. I entered into the telephonic agreement and then waited for my package to arrive. One phone and one sim card. However, when the package arrived by courier, I was issued with two sim cards and the Galaxy J5. I was told by the driver that the second sim card was a data sim card that comes with the package. I was not told this by the salesperson when initially discussing the contract with him. I was led to believe that I will be paying R 199-99 per month for my two year contract, a great saving for me personally, but because of the additional sim card that I was not told about, I have been paying R 498-00 per month, not much less than the R 500-00 that my prepaid calls were costing me before. As a customer, I have had to accept the fact that I was conned into or given false information with regards to the Pinnacle 150 contract, and am now bound, by law, to continue paying an inflated amount that I was not expecting to pay. I think Cell C need to be upfront and honest in their dealings with potential customers, and inform them of the exact amount that they will be paying for their 24 month contracts, as it is a long time to pay for something that I did not agree to, and that will cost a lot of money to cancel. Thank you very much.
