Disgusting service from a horrible company!

It has been 23 days since first contacting Cell C about migrating an EXISTING Cell C prepaid number to a Cell C contract. I was advised by a friend to do it all electronically and she provided me with the contact details for Riaan Benade, a private consultant at their Johannesburg offices. I contacted him and explained to him exactly which contract I wanted and which phone I wanted.

At first he was very responsive and explained exactly which forms needed to be signed and filled in. This was done and suddenly he disappeared and did not come back to us about whether or not the phone we wanted was available or not. After countless times of trying to phone him and email him, he finally answered our call a few days letter and simply said that none of the phones I wanted was available. We asked him if it would be possible for him to order a phone for us and he said he would get back to us. He did not. We again tried to contact him with no success. After countless trying, we finally got hold of him again and he said that he had not received any response and that he would come back to us.

Due to our frustration we sent him an email informing him not to proceed with the application. We then tried a different route by going directly through a store. We contacted Cell C in Cape Gate Mall and first asked whether they had the phone I wanted or not. The consultant named Justin informed us that they did have the phone and we sent in all the required documentation. Justin told us that he would process the application and get back to us. After a few days we still heard nothing from them and had to phone them several times just to get any information regarding the status of our application. Due to errors on their side, the application was rejected and we were told that we did not qualify for this contract, something we knew to be impossible.

It was at this stage that I took to social media to express my disappointment and frustration with waiting so long for a contract to be opened on an existing Cell C number. The person who handled my first tweets was Bruno (^BM on twitter). We were put into contact with a different consultant named Tebogo. He tried to help us and after DAYS he finally got the contract approved and sent it to us. It was filled with incorrect information and spelling errors. We then had to contact him again to sort this out. It has now been 23 days and tomorrow (16/02/2017) will be the 24 day that I have been trying to open this contract. It has been 16 days since this promotion that Cell C was running has ended.

I cannot express to you how frustrated I am with this disgusting service. Every person who has helped us simply couldn't care less about our disappointment and none of them have even tried to improve this experience. Somehow Cell C believes that giving you the status of the application somehow makes you feel better about the fact that you have spent DAYS calling and emailing and trying to sort out this application.

I have never regretted applying for or dealing with a company as much as I regret this contract that I have opened with Cell C. I would really think really hard before joining Cell C and I would not recommend their service to anyone. If this is how they treat new and prospective customers, can you just imagine how they would treat customers whose money is already flooding into their pockets? This experience was truly nauseating and has caused me so much anger and frustration. I wish this experience on nobody and hope this will help someone before they make the same mistake that I have in joining this disgusting company!
